Pizzalley’s Chianti Room Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Some friends and I were in St. Augustine when suddenly we all became hangry. Pizza was something we could all agree upon and The Chianti room was a nice place to sit down and have a meal. We were seated immediately by a very nice host. Then that's when things went south. 3 minutes pass, no acknowledgement from staff. 5 minutes, no "I'll be right with you," even after I had made eye contact with numerous servers that were standing by the drinks. After 10 minutes of being ignored, we walked out. If someone had stopped by to let us know they were our server, waiting wouldn't have been an issue. But we felt deliberately ignored so sorry Pizzaley's Chianti Room, but maybe we will try again another time.

The service was awesome. Very friendly and informative. The food was excellent. Will definitively come back.

I had their gluten free pizza and my husband had ordered one on the regular crust. I must say it was ok. I wasn't super impressed and I have had better. It wasn't terrible though. One thing we both agreed was we left still wanting more food though! The gluten free pizza only comes in one size and I don't think it's enough to fill you up. So, for what you get for the price I wouldn't recommend it. I think other pizza places are better. I must add, that I really did want to like this place, too.

Chicken piscata and create your own pastas were terrific. Bread sticks and garlic oil were to die for. Great service and happy hour 2 for 1 drinks.

Food is OUTSTANDING!!!!! Price is decent. Service was ok, but they were busy. I would definitely return.

Cute Italian pizzeria. I had the egg plant parm. Huge portions and I wasn't able to eat it all. Wasn't the best food but it was still delicious. I would most likely go back again.

Go during happy hour. Good pizza, bread sticks and beer. Friendly staff. We went two days in a row.

    (5)
  • Brian S.

The food was really good, but the service was very slow. The salads came out fast, but then 40 minutes for entrees! It wasn't 100% busy either. I would either get pizza to go or go elsewhere.

  • Shannon A.

I've been here at least 5 times, it's usually pretty good! The food is great but a little pricy. It's a great place to eat outdoors and is dog friendly on the porch. The mozzarella half moons are delicious and I recommend the lemon pasta. I usually get a slice and a beer but the rest of the menu has been well-liked by friends. Try to hit it at happy hour, two for one drinks and a free slice of pizza. Seriously, it cannot be beat.

My husband I have eaten in many Italian restaurants in a number of cities. This is hands done one of the best. My Caesar salad, his minestrone soup, oh the bread sticks!!! Veal and chicken marsala, lasagna all excellent. Our waiter Andrew was just great too! Will definitely return!

On a whim my wife and I stopped by St. Augustine on the way home from vacation. We needed dinner and Pizzalley's was giving samples by the door. Pizza sounded good, so we went inside. The pizza was amazing! The crust was crisp, but not too hard or crunchy. The cheese was perfectly stringy. Everything about it was great and satisfying.

We are avid foodies and all I have to say is the total experience excellent!! Service fabulous!! Melissa was GREAT, one of the best servers we have had the pleasure of attending us. Food was Wonderful. Table of 11 and not a single issue. In our opinion This is a go to spot in St. Augustine. Love the happy hour.....Kudos to Pizzalley Chianti Room.

We visited during happy hour from 3-6 where you can get 2-for-1 drinks and a free slice of cheese pizza! They also have delicious breadsticks with olive oil dip. My boyfriend and I decides to explore the "pastabilities" and did the create your own pasta. We split it (for a $4 charge) but it came with a soup or salad, which was worth it. Everything was so delicious! My complaint was that it was so much to eat that I was epically full trying to taste it all and drink my two drinks. The service was good even though it was a busy time. I'd definitely come back so I can try the pizza!

  • CJ S.

I love this restaraunt! The pizza and calzones are delicious! Try the breadsticks too! You will not regret it! This is not a tourist trap but a great place to eat Italian food!

We decided to come and try this place out after tasting the pizza at the door. The attention was great and all the food was fantastic! A true gem in Saint Augustine!

Let me first start by saying that we came to pizzalley's during happy hour. This is by far the best time to go. 10 inch pies are $5 off and drinks are 2 for 1. We sat at the counter and watched the cooks prepare the yummy food. This place has a legit full Italian menu but the pizza is superb. The garbage can was our favorite. Staff was very attentive. We relaxed and drank beer and were not rushed at all. A must try for a late lunch/early dinner.

  • Jenna C.

Wonderful! Great service and wonderful food from the pizza, lobster ravioli, create your own pasta. They also had a menu for glutton free! Just fabulous!

We've been coming here for a dozen years or so and Pizzalleys has the best tasting fire oven pizza covered in the highest quality ingredients and thanks to servers like Ellen we always are provided with the best service with a smile. We grabbed our usual pepperoni, prochiutto, and ricotta cheese pizza. Piping hot! Crispy crust! Great italian flavor! You just can't miss dining at Pizzalleys.

  • Valerie A.

Fabulous pizza. We sampled the extra cheese with garlic. It was so good we ordered one to go and carried it back to our room. It was much better fresh from the restaurant.

  • Sarah G.

3.5 stars :) It's a great place for happy hour! 2 glasses of wine/beer and a slice of pizza for $5-6. Pretty good wine choices & live music. The pizza tastes mediocre, but I like that it's included w/the drinks. I usually try to park in Pizzalley's parking lot since it's 'by the hour' with the max price of $6. Most parking lots in St. Augustine seem to charge $8-10.

What a great place!food was delicious, service great! Despite the fact that around 9pm they were very busy we were taking care of promptly, our waitress suggested couple of meals and we were not disappointed. Crab cakes are yummy,2 big crab cakes served with sauce and sautéed vegetables,we almost licked the plate. For the entree, the two of us split a 16'' "wonder woman" pizza and we managed to eat almost all of it after couple of rounds of drinks and appetizer(which doesn't usually happen) it was so good, the crust baked to perfection, just the right amount of the sauce and all the toppings, all put together In one of the best pizza's we've had! Loved it!

After an unpleasant experience at another restaurant downtown, we went over to Pizzalley. It was great. Our server was very warm and gracious even though the place was hopping on a Saturday night. We had appetizer, bottle of wine, salad, build your own pasta, and some nice breadsticks. I thought everything we ate tasted freshly prepared and was delivered prompt and hot. We will go back again on our next trip. It is a nice place at a reasonable price. Nicely done...

Visited St. Augustine for spring break last year and I have to say, this was the best place that our group went to. We couldn't believe the incredible deal they have during happy hour. Not only is it 2-4-1 drinks, but you get a free slice of pizza along with that! We had an awesome time and at a reasonable, if not hard to believe, price.

    (4)
  • Kelsey G.

How does one rate a two-for-one drink with a free slice of pizza?! It's almost not fair! The location and service alone are a win-win for anyone strolling downtown St. Augustine. Their happy hour hits the spot with their BOGO on already inexpensive beverages. Plus, with a free snack slice of pizza, you can't help but feel A-OK after having consumed about a half a bottle of wine. Overall, it's a good deal, but I can't say more outside of their short and sweet bar.

Food was great, recommend their brick oven pizza. They were also open until Larson Sunday night which is rare to find.

I'm a little torn on the Chianti Room. I've had a couple excellent dishes and a couple that were average. Since I'd consider the service absolutely average, my best experiences have been up at the bar. The bartenders have always been friendly and quick. Personally, I think the pizzeria up front has much better pizza, so do yourself a favor and order something else. I have to share my worst experience. We go in about 6pm and the place is packed. There are 6 of us and a baby. We ask if they can push 2 tables together so we have room. No, they say. They give us a round table where we're squished in like sardines and 2 of us have to eat over our laps because we can't get to the table. Immediately after serving the drinks, they push 2 tables together beside us for 5 people. What...The...Fuck.

Was in St Augustine for the day deciding where to eat lunch was really glad we ate at pizzalley chianti room. The atmosphere was lively. The chicken Marsala was delicious. The bread very good also. Watching the pizzas being delivered to nearby tables made me also want to try the pizza but had to save room for dessert. The creme brûlée was served warm and melted in your mouth!!

This place was recommended by a local and boy were we impressed. Fast service, delicious food, at reasonable prices. A must try. Enjoy, we did!

This was a last minute choice for us on our first night in St.Augustine. We ordered calamari (average), antipasto salad (I liked it. Lots of meat and cheese. My husband did not like it so much. I has grapes on it) and the garbage can pizza. I loved the crust but the toppings didn't seemed cooked enough. Overall we would go again and try other things.

I dined here once before, about three years ago, and remembered the pizza as being pretty good -- I wasn't Yelping yet but it would have been about four stars then. Last week I was in Florida with my wife, and we made our way to St. Augustine, and decided to grab lunch at Pizzalley's based on my recollection of the food quality. We went back to the Chianti Room and ordered a small pepperoni pizza to split, and a couple of Dr Peppers. The Dr Peppers were watery, but stuff happens...we suspect a problem with the fountain. More troubling, however, was that the pizza was incredibly greasy this time around, depriving it of its crispness and giving us both a good bout of indigestion. Wasn't quite as flavorful as I remembered it either. I do hope that the kitchen crew was just having a bad day, but this place has been better in the past and has the potential to be good again; hopefully they will step up the quality.

Great food and great service. My wife had the chicken parm and I had the special, a stuffed chicken. Very large portions, we wished that we had a mini fridge in our hotel to take to go boxes.

We ate lunch outside the main restaurant. You can only get slices at the St George Rd entrance, smallest pizza you can get at restaurant is a 10". The employees were nice and helpful. We had pepperoni pizza and a salad. The bread sticks were very good. Our waitress brought us a second basket because she said she didn't like how the first ones turned out. That was nice and appreciated. By both baskets were delicious.

I really like their pizza. We get the white pizza and it's delicious. I have never been disappointed here although it is quite crowded. I have two favorite pizza restaurants and this is one of them.

We were seated right away, which seemed promising. Then we waited... After 10 minutes, I asked a passing server who was waiting on us, and she said, "I don't think she's in yet." She got the hostess, who took our drink order,.and promised a server would be right over. She brought our drinks over, and after 10 more minutes, still no server. Then a server showed up at the table next to ours. They had just been seated, so that was the final straw. We got up and walked over to the hostess stand, where I told them 20 minutes was too long to wait for a server, and we headed over to Pizza Time. We didn't get to taste the food, bud judging by the menu, and lack of service, it's outrageously priced. Next time we will skip this place, and go straight to Pizza Times instead.

There seems to be a lot of differing reviews on this place, and it seems to depend on which night you're eating here, and if you're getting pizza or some of the other menu items. Personally, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the service, and will definitely be back. Went on a Saturday night, and although the place was busy, it wasn't overtly packed. We were seated immediately, and our server was there immediately to take our drink order. I was happy to see that they served draft beer, although the selection was kind of odd- Miller Lite, Yuengling Lite, and Blue Moon. Plenty of bottled beers available, however, and a full bar and lots of wine selections. The menu was very Italian- lots of pastas, breads, salads, and pizzas. I was trying to decide between the lobster ravioli, eggplant or chicken parm, or pizza. My girl and I decided to share a salad and a Godfather pizza. Great choice. The salad was very good, very fresh with lots of veggies, and the house dressing was awesome. The pizza was GREAT. Ricotta cheese, garlic, chives, prisciutto, and lots of ooey gooey cheese in a woodfired oven. Delicious. The garbage pail pizza also looked great, and saw a lot of folks ordering custom pies all over the restaurant... Didn't really see a bad pizza anywhere, they all looked great. This place seemed to be most popular with families and older folks. I didn't really see a lot of college kids eating, which kind of surprised me due to the proximity of Flagler College, however I realize there are other pizza joints downtown that probably offer up a lot of pizza at a lot cheaper prices... The price wasn't bad, the service was great, the food was delicious, and I liked the atmosphere, I really had a great time eating here... Only thing keeping it from five stars is that there was no Sam Adams draft beer... Other than that, no complaints from me!

I cannot understand all the positive reviews. First, the breadsticks are horrible, the pizza was terrible and made me ill for the rest of the night. The lasagna was average, but absolutely not worth the price. If I'm ever in the area again I will not return.

I haven't eaten here. But this is one of the only happy hours in St Augustine and if you're a local they recognize you and that's very much appreciated. Especially since this restaurant is in the heart of the tourism district here. 2-4-1 drinks from 4-6 pm and a free slice of pizza most of the time there is also some sweet jams from one of our local vocalists.

Pizzalley's key-AHN-tee room was a good choice when we were stopped in St. Augustine for a mini-adventure on our way home from Daytona. (We realized then it would have been better to vacation in St. Augustine!) We asked a local where he would choose if he were going out for lunch and he recommended the Chianti room. It's a little hard to find on foot or with an annoying GPS so save yourself some trouble and ask someone to point you in the direction of it- it's well known. The service was not great because of how busy each server was. Our original server was actually too busy to greet us and we ended up with a friendly guy whose section was actually outside!!! We were far from his other tables but he did the best he could. The food was better than okay, especially the Alfredo sauce. It was thick and wonderful. The salad dressing was very flavorful and was a perfect complement to the bread sticks which were homemade and very light. The marinara did leave a little to be desired but other than that, the food was delicious and the portions were large enough to be shared.

Came here for lunch and thought it was just OK. It wasn't too crowded so we sat outside where there was a nice breeze. The ambiance is quaint and laid back and the tables aren't one on top of the other so it's spacious and comfortable. I started off my meal with a house salad and for my entree I created my own pasta dish. You get your choice of pasta, sauce, vegetable, and meat/seafood. I chose angel hair pasta topped with marinara sauce along with zucchini, garlic and a side of meatballs. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan along with a side of meatballs. The service was friendly and accommodating, but the meal was average. The one thing that was really good; their breadsticks!! They're topped with parmesan cheese and served with olive oil for dipping...those were great! The meal was OK, and the price was right, but again, nothing special.

Awful service!! Small, overpriced portions. Ordered chicken but ended up with Cold Veal. Server rushed our decision to order, then he screwed it up and didn't offer anything to help the situation. NO apology! Not returning here.

  • Dia D.

We ate here because it was close to our hotel. The service was slow (they were only half full) and we ended up eating in "shifts" as all of our food didn't come out together. I had minestrone soup which was a bit watery and lukewarm. The Cesar salad wasn't any better than an olive garden salad and the bruschetta was okay.

The pizza was quite good, and the service was very pleasant and helpful.

We had dinner here on Saturday. It was great, Nancy, our waitress was very nice and she was good. We had mussels in garlic sauce, they were clean and delicious. My lobster ravioli were very good. The manager stopped by to talk to us, he suggested we try the tiramisu, it was the best we ever had in a restaurant. Loved it, would definitely go back!

Food was good, not great. Portions are very big. Service was a little slow. The ambiance was a little dark and cramped. Prices were a little high compared to the quality of the food. Nothing special.

Food was great. Portions were big. We had Caprese salad (was very good) and caesar salad (not so good) (way too much dressing, it was drowning in dressing). Calzone was very good and chicken picada was delicious. Bread sticks were fresh and tasty tasty tasty. Service was outstanding, even though it was busy - Saturday night busy. We sat outside, liked it. I would recommend this place.

Great place! Love the outdoor seating in front of the restaurant -- great ambiance. Ordered the breadsticks and thought they would be the typical breadsticks at Italian restaurants but these were awesome! Homemade and sooo tasty -- better than Olive Garden. I ordered the create-your-own-pasta which was delicious -- came with soup or salad (with homemade Italian dressing) -- and loved that they weren't chinsy on the added vegetables and sauce. My BF ordered the lasagna, which also came with a soup or salad, and he thought it was delicious. Don't know why it took us so long to go to this place! One of the best in St. Augustine. Prices were also reasonable.

The food is not bad here. The pizza is fine for pizza, but not amazing. I enjoyed the free samples out front more (probably because they are FREE). The crab cakes were good but greasy. 3 stars mainly for the service. She didn't seem very attentive or interested in earning a good tip. Plus, she called me a girl.

Lovely atmosphere - a little noisy inside, but nice decor. Delicious, delicious food. The menu items look great, but the pizza we sampled won over, with crab cake appetizers on the side. Ask for Audrey if you come in, and have her bring you a drink called "Fruity Pebbles".

I stumbled upon this place a couple of days ago on vacation. The gal in the front was giving out pizza samples just when we were looking for a place for dinner. When she told me about the happy hour, we were sold. (2 for 1 drinks, free cheese slice, and $5 off a 10" pizza) My mom and I split a Godfathers 10" and a house salad and there was more than enough for 2. The waiter was really great. His name escapes me, but he was tall and young. Always checking on us and making sure we had everything even though the place was slammed! Also the food came out fast and was hot and delicious. The only reason I am taking off a star is because when we were waiting for our table, I tried to get a drink from the bar and the bartender completely ignored me. I was a bartender too long to think that is ever ok. Even if you can't help me right then, making eye contact is essential. He wasn't even that busy, and spent most of the time I was waiting putting away glasses. I ended up walking away angry.

I am not hard to please, as you can tell, but I have never been disappointed by this place. Luckily, there was no wait tonight, oh this darn economy! But really, this is one of the great places in St. Augustine, reasonable bottles of wine and great food. I feel lucky that I live so close to this town. Anything with crab in it or on top of it is good. Pizza passing by looked awesome. Our waitress was so nice!

On my visit from Miami, found this place and loved it soo much we ate here on our 2 day stay. Superb Pizza, Awesome happy hour (w/free pizza slice, food off the chain. The atmosphere is inviting. I will certainly be back when I visit St. Augustine.

They have great pizza here in the Pizzalley portion on St George St. Chianti Restaurant at the other end of the restaurant is great for happy hour too. 2 for 1's and 1 free slice of cheese pizza with music out on the porch - awesome! The food is good here, however, service can be slack from time to time. Overall a good choice.

Excellent meal. There were four people in our party, and each of us got something different; we each enjoyed our meal immensely. The service was friendly and prompt despite the fact that the restaurant was packed. Will most definitely eat here again!

I was on vacation and what a treat. Great pizza. Friendly service. Great weekly happy hour. Nice wine selection. Even though we only had pizza the restaurant was full at 2:30 p.m. on a Wednesday. I will visit again.

Food was excellent. I had a lasagna plate. The bread that they bring to the table, like pizza rolls, is amazing. The prices are really good also. We went to a different Italian place the day before and got ripped off - we spent $76 for 2 adults and 10, 4, & 2 y.o. kids. We only spent $37 at Pizzalley's. I wish we could have taken back some pizza rolls. The restaurant ambiance was nice. Only complaint is that it is hard to find. The entrance on Saint George St. is for the short order pizza shop. The entrance on Charlotte St. is for the full restaurant, and you can walk from one to the other via a long hallway.

We found the Chianti Room during our last trip to St. Augustine and just had to return. The food here is absolutely delicious and the prices are right (how often can you say that)! They have a create your own pasta where you can choose the pasta, the sauce, the meat and the veggies. Not sure how anyone could go wrong with that! My husband chose the catch of the day which was Red Fish and said it was cooked perfectly! Now my husband doesn't usually eat fish in a restaurant because it's always to dry, but he gave it a try and loved it! We happened to be there on a Wednesday and they had a great special going where you get 50% off a bottle of wine if you spend $25.00. That's a perfect deal for us as we always get a bottle of wine but being able to get it 1/2 price was a great bonus! The staff were very friendly! There are 2 reasons I didn't give this an excellent. One was because it is quite noisy. They are very, very busy and the acoustics are horrible. The second are the restrooms. I understand with all of those people going in and out constantly it's hard to keep up with but the restrooms need cleaning and some TLC repairs. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want Italian while in St. Augustine!

The ambiance here is truly something worth experiencing. We sat in the outdoor seating and had such a fun experience. It's so refreshing that we can come to a place and be fully acknowledged, respected, and more over- treated like family. From entering the doors to the entirety of the meal, I am very pleased with the service and comfort felt here. Throughout our meal we were checked on and re-filled, offered a discount because we had trolley passes, and even greeted by the nicest bus staff in existence. The pizza is not the best you'll ever have but it is robust, has a perfect texture from the stone oven they use, and the crust is delicious too. Overall, everything is pretty over-priced but honestly, you have to expect it when dining in a small novelty town like this while on vacation. The 14 inch pizza is very large; we had it for leftovers twice. I would suggest ordering the smaller individual pizza to split and an appetizer, and definitely get the breadsticks. Sara was our server and she was attentive and sweet though she was dealing with some rude patrons (not us) and 3 other tables, she did really well. We would definitely come back.

The man and I stopped in to The Chianti Room and I instantly remembered that I've eaten here before- and loved it! We enjoyed $6 glasses of chianti, bread and Olive oil, and of course some delicious Italian fare. I tried the eggplant Parmesan which was out of this world. I didn't have enough room for homemade creme brûlée which was pretty sad but my food was amazing. They even have a "make your own spaghetti dish" option where you choose the noodles, sauce, etc. The caveat is that though a few blocks away, Chiantis attracts a lot of the St George crowd. With that said, it's worth the 20 minute wait and the waitstaff is very efficient. Our food came out extremely quickly. I love this place!

Absolutely delicious and great prices. The service was probably among the best I've had in my life (Stephen). What a beautiful attitude and attention to detail! During a busy dinner time, no less! Gives bad servers elsewhere no excuses! Anyway the food is delightful, tastes homemade and the drinks were just refreshing, were mixed perfectly and came with fresh garnishes. (Yes this is a problem at some bars!). We had the mozzarella moons for app, free pizza and 2/1 happy hour drinks! We also had the manicotti, tortellini and chicken Marsala. I named them in order of deliciousness. The Marsala could use a pinch of flavor but was otherwise very fresh tasting. I would go back to St Augustine just for this place! What a gem!

As long as you don't mind the wait, this place is a pleasant find. 1. You can sit in a diner type area, or you can sit in the actual restaurant. 2. You have outdoor and indoor options. Our wait was about an hour, but they earn a star just for allowing bar options while waiting. We got drinks and sat outside at the picnic tables (earned the 2nd star). 3. After the wait, which we waited longer so we could sit outside, we were seated and given menus. It was a chilly 50s night and I was disappointed they didn't have the heaters on. Probably because they were electrical and in the ceiling, but... 4. The bartender was awesome. I had a glass of Cab that was AWFUL, and he so kindly gave me a glass of something else. I've never sent a glass of wine back...ever...but this was vile. He apologized and gave me something else no charge. Kind! (star here) 5. The food was tasty but I thought my chicken Piccata needed bacon or something similar. Also, the servings were a bit small for the price, but I understand this is relative to what is your norm. Not a bad place, but it didn't stand out enough for me to wait that long to eat again. I'd want to try a different dish too. Otherwise, the picnic tables for people waiting and the bar options to help saved this place.

We went this Memorial Day Weekend to St.Augustine and thanks again to Yelp we found this wonderful place. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere it's wonderful. The food it's delicious. For appetizer we ordered the Fried Calamari and the Italian Wedding Soup which was amazing, the meatballs on the soup were out of this world. Oh let's not forget the breadsticks with parmesan cheese and olive oil they put on the table wow that's one of the best breads I've ever had. The food was delicious. If you are ever in St.Augustine you have to try this place. I'm glad we did.

I came here for the first time today with my brothers, both whom have been here many times before. I think they were a little off today and some aspects of their service were lacking/inconsistent. For example, the hostess never put us on the waiting list even though we were handed a buzzer. Also, we had a few problems with the lasagna (all ricotta, no meat). I'm typically very flexible, and was very embarrassed to send it back twice. However, our server was accommodating and apologetic about the whole thing. She really made an effort to fix these issues, which honestly had nothing to do with her quality of service. Likewise, the manager was great! He personally apologized for our experience and discounted our meals. It was obvious that he cares about his customers' dining experience. Onto the good - we had their famous bruschetta pizza (minus the Gorgonzola and subbed ricotta), which I would order again. My brothers enjoyed their Italian Pot Roast and Chicken Parmesan dishes. Also, their Italian wedding soup was delicious. In fact, it's the best I have ever tasted thus far, but I've only eaten it a handful of times (so take that with a grain of salt). Likewise, their breadsticks were tasty. Four stars for everything minus the lasagna. Originally, I probably would not have returned after the issues we had in the beginning, but I am touched by the effort the manager made to improve our experience. Based on what my brothers have said, it has never been like this before. Therefore, I'll be back when I'm in the area and am willing to give them another try, but I'll probably just stay away from the lasagna. There are other menu items calling my name :)

This place is awesome!!! I have a severe allergy to shell fish and was seated at the pizza bar where I could see all the amazing work the chefs do. I noticed that the when my pizza came out of the oven they went out of there way to clean the pizza spatula just to take mine out and then tell the other people in the kitchen about my allergy. The kitchen workers work together amazingly and the food it to die for!!! I'll most defiantly come back to this place when we take another trip up here from West Palm Beach. The hottest and staff was friendly as well!!

After walking tirelessly through the center of Saint Augustine, my friend and I thought it was time to grab lunch and give our feet some much needed rest. He remembered a memorable Italian restaurant but could not remember its name or location. After my rattling a bunch of options off of Yelp (wow, St. Augustine has tons of 4-star and 5-star restaurants, impressive!), he decided to just start walking to one whose name sounded somewhat familiar. Turns out, that wasn't the restaurant he was thinking of, but the Chianti Room just happened to be next door and after he saw it, he immediately remembered the place, so I trusted he'd lead me somewhere good. We were immediately greeted and sat down at a table. The only issue was cellphone reception here was horrid, but other than that, the inside was elegant with burgundy curtains and wrought-iron decor, yet welcoming and cozy. The waiter was very friendly and whip-smart, making small jokes while keeping a straight face, which was pretty entertaining, yet he was professional and easy on the eyes. He was very forthcoming with suggestions and the specials of the day, but in the end, we made our own choices. My friend opted for the chicken parmesan, while I got the manicotti as I was not in the mood for meat. While we originally were going to order a house salad, he scrapped it off our order and informed us our meals already came with side salads as an appetizer, which we appreciated, instead of having us incur an additional cost. The salads were delicious. A good amount of lettuce, as well as cherry tomatoes, cucumber and carrots accompanied it. A homemade balsamic vinaigrette was great. Our meals came and the presentation was very nice and colorful. I had a piece of my friend's chicken and it was good. I did not share my meal though. The manicotti was delicious, filled with ricotta. Some places skimp out on the amount of filling, but not here. My only complaint was the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. I prefer a slight tartness to my tomato sauce. Food was very filling though, and service was very attentive. The waiter kept coming almost every 5 minutes to refill our drinks by bringing a pitcher by, rather than taking our drinks and disappearing into obscurity and leaving us thirsty. If you're driving, the tucked-away Chianti Room has its own parking lot, which is convenient. There is also outdoor seating. Prices for pizza are very reasonable and the pizzas looked delicious and topped with plenty of ingredients, so that's a good option for a larger party. I would consider coming back if I am in the area!

Came here for lunch. We ordered a pizza. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was great. The crust was very crispy and had a good taste to it. Our server was pleasant and stayed in the ball for most of our visit. I eventually had to go ask for a refill of tea. I'm sure my server got caught up doing side work. I would recommend the pizza to anyone.

Every time we visit St. Augustine, we visit Pizzally's! To us, it's not a day trip without the delicious pizza and breadsticks!! There are so many dining options when it comes to this place. You can walk through the back to a more casual setting or be in the sit down full service restaurant. We prefer the sit down because the waitresses and waiters are amazing and so nice! They just go out of their way to make your dinner experience pleasing! Never the less both environments hold the same great tasting pizzas!! I was a tad surprised how much I liked the Calamari! I didn't expect it to be so delicious!! My family' favorite is the bruschetta and the garbage can! Aren't they such gross people lol! I'm so picky! So for all of you picky eaters out there, the plain old fashioned cheese is just as good as the other stuff!!! All in all if you're in the area, try it out!! A lot of the time they'll have someone with samples at the front door off the main street of downtown!

This is our 2nd time at Pizzally's and once again, it was just the type of Italian food we love with a great selection of Chianti wine (which you don't find in a lot of restaurants). Unbeknownst to us it happen to be Wednesday which if you spend 25 dollars on food, you get 1/2 price on a bottle of wine. Well we were planning on getting a bottle anyway. We had the Chianti Classico Reserve which at normal price of 36 dollars was a deal, but at half price it even tasted better. They have a vast variety of choices on the menu but my wife's favorite for is the create your own pasta with multiple choices of noodles, sauces, vegetables and meats. If you can't find something you like here, then you are way too picky. I had the catch of the day, Redfish which was cooked to perfection with angle hair pasta and a vegetable medley. Even if it is not Wednesday, stop by and enjoy, and if there is a wait (which there is most of the time) stop by the bar and enjoy a nice Chianti.

Wow! We were pleasantly surprised to find this place while walking through the historic area. I had the chicken piccata and my husband had the pit roast. Amazing food! My Caesar salad was delicious and the breadsticks are to die for. I had to take a batch of them home.

My family and I have been here a handful of times. Sometimes for pizza and sometimes for the Italian dishes. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pizza is very good! We got Italian sausage and fresh pepperoni recently and it was absolutely delish! Our waiter was nice but he definitely seemed busy because we had a wait on several occasions to get simple things such as a refill and garlic powder. Overall, a good experience and we will return :)

I would give this no star if I could. Mediocre pizza, disgusting ranch... Tasted like it went bad so I couldn't even eat it. Which was disappointing because I was hoping to mask up the taste of the pizza and I asked for ranch 3 times before they actually brought it out. They charge for soda refills which they should let you know if that's the case... Half the cup is ice anyway and you end up paying 5 bucks for soda. If you're in the area and want good pizza, go to Pizza Time.

Great choice to fulfill any pizza cravings! There are other tasty-looking Italian dishes on the menu, but I felt the need to get pizza because of the name of the restaurant. I ordered the individual seafood pizza which contains crab, shrimp, and red pepper. The cheese tasted really good too for a pizza (I think it was mozz). Ten inch for $10 was filling and I even got to save some as leftovers (ie- tomorrows lunch)!

We eat at Italian restaurants every time we vacation. Searched for a while and this one was recommended by a lady at Faux Paws. So glad we took her recommendation!!! Nice wine list, best Caprese salad EVER - bread and dipping oil superb - both meals were outstanding. Lasagna big enough to feed a small country and chicken Marsala was wonderful. We will eat here again!!

Yum! We were looking to grab a quick dinner on a cold rainy night. You know, the kind of night where all you really want to eat is pizza. This place was so spot hitting! The pizza was perfect! The crust just right, the toppings just as we ordered. Fantastic service too.

This is some of the best NY style pizza I've had in awhile. My family, who were with me, and we're all from NYC, also agreed. The crust was just the right thinness, with the outer crust not overbearing. Between a family of 5, we first ordered a large pie, half with pepperoni and half with anchovies. I personally don't care too much for the latter, but my parents do. In this case, I was actually OK with a slice with a couple of anchovies on it. We loved the first pie so much, we ended up ordering a second one. We had a long day sightseeing and this dinner was our first meal since breakfast. They also had buy one get one free house wine. I ordered the Chianti, which they gave a big pour of, that I almost couldn't have the second glass. And for dessert....with had the delicious tiramisu! The staff and ambiance of the place was pretty much perfect. I liked how they decorated the place, which gave a homely family feeling, but at a banquet of sorts, because of the crowds of people in the place. I hope to return here again on my next visit to St Augustine.

Yea it's touristy and yea it's worth going. It's absolutely delish. The pizza dough reminds me of a thinner crust version of the thick crust from Pizza Uno (If you haven't been to a Pizza Uno before it's a Chicago franchise that is known for their deep dish pizzas). It's almost like a cornmeal crust (but I can't tell you 100% what kind of crust it is). I do know however; that it's really good and crispy. The texture of this crust is perfectly crisp. The pizza was delicious, we got a large and there was plenty of left over for our road trip back home. I am glad we got a large to take some home :) For dessert I had a coupon from my bed and breakfast so we got the tiramisu, it was okay but nothing out of this world. I am very picky on my tiramisu though, if you have ever had it fresh you will notice the difference between a really good tiramisu and an okay one. This was just that... okay..... I will definitely come here again when I'm in the neighborhood, because it's not very often you find such good pizza in a touristy spot.

I like this place. We have patronized the restaurant for several years and most visits have been very good. The waiters are interesting and the food is above average. I like the pizza but it's not the best. A bit greasy. The crust is very good. The entree portion sizes are generous and even the side salads. I like the build your own pasta. The tomato cream sauce is excellent. The vodka sauce is a close second. Also enjoy the old house/hotel feel of the place. Perfect for downtown St. Augustine. Prices are fair but not cheap. Overall a solid 3.75 star.

The pizza here is quite good. The center can get a little soupy due to some of the toppings they use. They might want to address that little issue. Otherwise the crust and the topping combos are very tasty. We had garbage can and bbq chicken pizzas. Not my choices. I would have loved to try the white pie, venetian or the wonder woman. Service was excellent for our large group.

Their food is Italian but they can not do al dente. They won't go the extra step which is a shame because that is why they are only getting 3 stars. 3 is due to the attentive waiter . Shame 4 or 5 could have been on their future.

Wow! We were pleasantly surprised to find this place while walking through the historic area. I had the chicken piccata and my husband had the pit roast. Amazing food! My Caesar salad was delicious and the breadsticks are to die for. I had to take a batch of them home.

Pretty good Italian food. No disappointments. It was pretty busy but we were seated right away. Good service and good food.

Awesome pizza ! Be sure to request dough that has been sitting for awhile and and not made fresh for crunchier crust ! Great atmosphere watching the chefs in kitchen get the orders out!

  • Reed N.

  • Robin A.

Their food is Italian but they can not do al dente. They won't go the extra step which is a shame because that is why they are only getting 3 stars. 3 is due to the attentive waiter . Shame 4 or 5 could have been on their future.

I really like their pizza. We get the white pizza and it's delicious. I have never been disappointed here although it is quite crowded. I have two favorite pizza restaurants and this is one of them.

  • Cheryl E.

  • Antonella Y.

Very fresh NY style pizza, pasta, and all the italian basics. Friendly service. Large portions enough for splitting.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
